Avalon - Many people show their patriotism by displaying the American flag from their homes throughout the shore area. It's really nice to see. There is a proper protocol issued by the U.S. for displaying our flag, which includes that it should be flown from sunrise to sunset. If one wishes to display our flag at night, illumination specifically for the flag is to be used. I don't think that most people are aware of this particular point and display/fly the flag all night. We take our flag inside at night. I hope those who may read this will comply with this etiquette that respects our flag.
