Avalon - For the life of me, I do not understand why the largest church in Avalon refuses to allow women to take up the collection. Seven to eight men per mass and sometimes two collections. You would think that with over 50 percent of parishioners being female, most working, and placing their money in the basket, they would be asked? As discrimination is at the forefront of the news daily, the church needs to wake up. Come on fathers, if you are going to spout politics from the pulpit then follow proper protocols and include the women of the church. We are not in the 50s.
