Avalon - Just got off the beach in Avalon Aug. 28. Can someone explain to me why the lifeguards told a family standing in 2 inches of water (that went dry as the water receded) as they held their children and were simply having a conversation for about 10 minutes to leave the water area and stand in front of the lifeguard stand if they wanted to stand in the water? Earlier this season they stopped my 6-year-old grandson from having a catch with his dad (not near the water) using a 2-inch soft foam ball that could not travel more than 4 feet if thrown hard. Please get rid of the leadership.
