Avalon - It's very pompous of Republicans to deny a vote or hearing for Supreme Court nominee Garland Merrick. After all, Obama is still president and will still be president for the next nine months. Now, I know Republicans love to wave their fingers about Samuel Alito's nomination of 2007. However they completely miss one major factor. Judge Alito was heard, voted on and appointed. It would be nice if Republicans would start doing the job they were elected to do.
