The mainstream press certainly puts a spin on every story to suit their purposes, either a right- or left-leaning agenda. Sometimes it is necessary to read about the same topic in both right- and left-leaning sources to try to find the truth somewhere between the lines. The number of published half-truths by both sides is frightening. However, the mainstream far exceeds blogs, etc., which are borderline libelous.
