Avalon - If it went to a vote of taxpayers, on whether to allow these ugly electric poles in Avalon and Stone Harbor, it would have about 10,000 against, and about 12 for. The 12 would be the council members and mayors. If there was talk of building, for ex., five of these towering poles anywhere on the island, no one who cares about this island would ever allow it. So why allow 75 of them? One thing is certain, none of Avalon's councilmen or mayor care, because they are not personally affected. All the eyesore poles are at the south end; the polls live to the north.
