Avalon - I witnessed a young teenage bicycle rider being hit by a car on Dune Drive after speeding out into traffic without stopping Aug. 23. Luckily, the driver was not speeding and the boy's life was spared. Avalon police tolerate bicyclists' illegal activities all over town, every day. When, not if, a child is killed, it will be the fault of the Avalon police for their condoning of bicyclists' bad behavior. I feel sorry for the driver. He was devastated and it wasn't his fault.
