Avalon - I was taught that the Constitution and Bill of Rights did not grant citizens' rights but limited the government's control over us. These rights were enumerated not to grant them, but to ensure them. Repealing one of these amendments would not eliminate the citizens' rights in any way, nor would it allow the government to limit these rights any more than it can now.
