Avalon - As I sit here on the beach block of 31st Street in Avalon, I'm looking around and can't help noticing the lack of patriotism of this particular block. Out of 20 or so homes, only two are displaying the American flag on either a pole or just a flag on a stick. Although I know that this simple act does not make you a model citizen, it does show you care. I'm calling you out Avalon; get those flags out and show the community that you care about this country. If more people displayed the flag maybe there would not be as many protesters using it as a tool to show their displeasure with our government.
