Avalon - I respect the volunteer firemen and the job they do, but the siren that Avalon uses to alert firemen, EMT and or police to everything from a real emergency to anything that gets called in, is outdated and needs to be done away with. Every fireman has a cell phone and beeper that notifies them of whatever qualifies as siren worthy. The time has come to stop subjecting everyone who lives near these sirens to the wail; sometimes 10 times throughout the day and night.
