Avalon - I noticed a flurry of spouts from the pro-downtown hotel cartel. Just ask the residents and it is clear that these are propaganda. One is silly enough to say that Avalon needs year-round businesses. Why? The population has dropped from 2,100 in 1980 to just over 1,300. Lots of places that were open year-round in the 70's and early 80's are seasonal businesses now. Who do they think they are fooling?
