Avalon - I called the police who referred me to a guy named Steve from New Jersey Nature who does animal control for our township. I was quite disappointed that he refused to come out to help injured seagulls. What are we paying animal control for if they don't come out to help the injured wildlife at the shore? This poor bird just laid there for hours dying a slow death. If animal control won't help, the police should learn how to take care of these birds in their misery when they have broken wings.
