Avalon - I am not a gun owner nor an NRA member but I know that the NRA does not pass the laws regulating gun ownership. The various elected bodies; federal, state and local are responsible. They can reject the lobbying efforts of the NRA if they so desire. It is also possible to amend the U.S. Constitution to change or repeal the 2nd Amendment. Maybe that is the direction citizens against gun ownership should take rather than blaming a powerless organization like the NRA for the problems caused by guns.
