Avalon - To the Herald editor who made a valient try at defining doo-wop for spouter in the April 23 edition. All good until your "Poor Little Fool" reference - a nice enough '50's tune but decidedly NOT doo-wop. Not even close. For any youngsters (or Herald editors) curious enough to seek out some real doo wop, here's five to get you started: 1) Gloria (Cadillacs); 2) I Want You to be My Girl (Frankie Lymon/Teenagers); 3) What Time is It (Jive Five); 4) That's My Desire (Dion/Belmonts); 5) Desiree (Charts). Enjoy!
