Avalon - Gun advocates' "punish the criminal" approach to solving gun violence may seem reasonable, but it is fatally flawed. I order to punish the criminal, obviously a crime must first be committed. Do we as a civilized society that professes Christian values really believe that we should allow more mass shootings to occur, and then punish the assailant? Would it be better to keep the "bad guys" from getting guns in the first place?
