Avalon - At five feet above sea level, the average persons eye level, you can see three miles out into the ocean. With the curvature of the earth being a major contributor to that short field of vision, why is there so much concern about these wind turbines? We won't see them or hear them and they won't harm the environment. Sea creatures of all shapes and sizes will use the underwater platforms to grow on, thus attracting other marine life to feed off of them as well. There is absolutely no evidence to show that these turbines will cause the catastrophic harm to marine life.
