Avalon - The Cape May County Office of Emergency Management recently completed updates to the county's Hazard Mitigation Plan. The updates include new, more extensive and comprehensive plans necessitated by the more frequent and increasingly severe weather events - sea level rise, floods, hurricanes, nor'easters, and damaging thunderstorms - exacerbated by or caused by global warming.
