Avalon - A bill, if approved by the Senate and signed by Trump, will allow the use of cruel means of killing wolves, bears, coyotes and their cubs on Alaska's National Wildlife Refuges. Sponsored by Alaska Congressman Don Young, 220 Republicans and only five Democrats voted to allow sadistic practices such as wire snares, steel leg-hold traps, and shooting adults and their cubs while trapped in their dens. Such practices are illegal in almost every state. And Alaskans oppose them by a 2-to-1 margin.
