Avalon - To an Avalon spouter who says he can't believe we spouted about Avalon's soggy sprinkler situation, 1) It is our right to speak up. 2) Just because Avalon has been watering the islands on Dune Drive for 20 years, does not make it smart. 3) It wastes water and tax dollars. 4) It is not needed; prior to the sprinklers, the islands were always green. 5) It causes slime and algae in many street gutters including mine. 6) Extra dampness and water breed mosquitoes. 7) Salt water is intruding into all of the wells in south and mid-Cape May County, from pulling so much water out.
