Avalon - Avalon needs year-round businesses, restaurants and stores. A new hotel at 21st Street will welcome in year-round activities and with that, a needed burst of dollars into the center of town, not only in the summer, but in the three long and almost vacant seasons afterward. If a successful businessman wants to re-invest dollars into creating a more vibrant downtown, we should welcome it with encouragement. We will all benefit from more investment and resulting interest in our beautiful town.
