Avalon - Avalon ,I fully accept and agree with the new law that NJ will not permit single use bags at grocery stores but one grocery store is taking is taking it too far. Purchased a large order and was told that the store no longer permits cashier to put groceries in the reusable bags we bring. They also implemented the law two days early and a poor senior gentleman was stuck taking his large amount of food with no bag to carry it. He reminded cashier that the law was not in effect yet but to no avail. Shirking the bagging responsibility is just a way to eliminate staff. Not part of law. Unacceptable!
