Avalon - Avalon and Stone Harbor both have “homeowners associations”. Their purpose is to give voice to owners who are non residents…watchdogs as it were. Where has promoting of businesses, unrestrained growth and activities that bring other shore communities to free local venues become a mandate? I am still smarting over AHLOA’s abandoning their membership in the 21st Street vicinity over the B1 changes because members on other parts of the island are in favor of new restaurants! Really? Then put the restaurants on 42nd Street!
