Avalon - All of our local politicians need to stop trying to get Rt. 55 extended. It will never happen and nor should it. Why spend millions of tax dollars just so tourists can get here a few minutes earlier? Rt. 55 is busy only from Friday to Sunday for just three months. All extending Rt. 55 would do is relocate traffic congestion further south and east. If the politicians are worried about traffic, how about eliminating tourism instead? Tourism creates traffic. Too many people are trying to crowd into a small area.
