Avalon - After years of information about global warming, some still don't understand the difference between weather events and climate change. A Lower Township spouter thinks that "40-foot plus mounds of snow" in Boston disproves global warming. It doesn't. Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the entire planet over years and decades. Snow in Cape May County or Boston does not disprove that the average temperature of Earth is increasing. Even if snow covered the entire U.S., it would not disprove global warming, because the U.S. occupies a micro-fraction of Earth's surface.
