Would you be willing to risk your children's or grandchildren's health or lives so that someone somewhere could have a job? How about the health or life of an elderly parent or grandparent? Of course not, but Congressional Republicans are willing to do so. Studies have found that 20,000 to 30,000 Americans die each year because of health problems from powerplant air pollution, but Congressional Republicans oppose regulations to reduce or eliminate such pollution; they claim those regulations are "job killers." They are willing to sacrifice lives so that someone somewhere may have a job.
