We Irish have alot to celebrate on the 17th. St Patricks day. Your Writer Reverend Maher will be proud to know this. The O'Meachair Chieftains meant with St Patrick in 464, and voted to become Christians. Meach means hospitable in Celt.Maher/Meagher are Anglesized.Thomas Francis Maher, began the IRA. He designed the Irish Flag, and was our Civil War Hero. The Irish Brigades were the go to fighters of the Union Army saving many lives fighting hand to hand while Union Forces retreated. Their heroics decided the Battle of Gettysburg, with many dead, so that we can say "Erin Go Brah" today.
