Unlike what an online comment stated, "political correctness" is not a "derogatory term" used against liberals. Quite simply it is defined as "conforming to a belief that language and practices which could offend political sensibilities should be eliminated." That means that political correctness calls for the use of euphemisms and even completely avoiding addressing some issues because it might offend or upset someone. That is not only contrary to free speech, but it is contrary to common sense and honesty. Facing issues bluntly and honestly is more important than hurt feelings.
