Those of us who oppose the hotel project, are opposing all of the current zoning variances that would be required. We simply want to preserve Avalon's current zoning laws and the Master Plan. The strict zoning is what makes our town unique and is why we chose to buy here. Height and use variances would be needed. The project is twice the permissible height and does not provide adequate parking. This proposed project can easily accommodate well over 1,000+ people at any time, with only 44 planned parking spots, not counting the two allotted for electric cars.
