Avalon / Stone Harbor - I find it odd that island towns like Avalon and Stone Harbor have outrageous property taxes for such small towns with a small number of city employees. Taxpayers should examine the budget and see where the money is being spent the most compared to other island towns of similar size. A non-resident (second homeowner) taxpayer association would be ideal to have the elected officials take notice and publish their findings.
