Seasonal workers, I don't think you should sweat it if you don't get a return to work email this year. I suspect employment lawyers and/or management consultants (and maybe The A.I.!) are advising more employers that return to work emails are not necessary. If I were you, I wouldn't take it personally. You can just apply on the company website like you'd have to anyway. I'm pretty sure it's a waste of time to try to figure out what management advice is trending this year
