In response to the Editor's response to a spout Jan. 27: No, animals are not more important than people. Perhaps the spouter was thinking of Proverbs 12:10: "The righteous care for the needs of their animals..." Our relationship to God affects not only how we treat people, but also how much thoughtful consideration we give to the creatures in our care. The Lord wants us to care for what He has entrusted to us.
