The reality is that Trump got what he wanted out of the MAGA voters. The criminal cases are gone and he will be back in the White House. Because his defining personality trait is needing to be loved at all times, it is doubtful that Trump will thumb his nose at his base, and right now the wrath of some of most ardent supporters on social media is directed at Musk, but everyone outside of MAGA has long understood that the president-elect is not a conservative.
