In Oregon, a gang of armed criminals masquerading as patriots seized and occupied the headquarters of a national wildlife refuge, acting under the delusion that the refuge land, which belongs to "we, the people," actually belongs only to them, to use to graze their cattle. Then an interesting development occurred. A judge ruled that no guns would be allowed to be carried into a public meeting held to discuss the criminal act and its consequences. The judge's reasoning is obvious: no guns at the meeting ensures there will be no gun violence at the meeting.
