One of the many reasons that the Borough of Avalon has been steadily raising our property taxes year after year, is that legal expenses and fees have exploded in this town. It seems that the town lacks common sense and has made poor decisions concerning employees, zoning, etc., and then had to go to court. Is it because of arrogance, or because somehow Avalon wants to be churning legal fees? For a tiny town, it sure has a highly disproportionate amount of legal expenses. Wonder why?
