Once again a big wind storm Jan. 12 and 13. Imagine that, wind at the shore! The 30 to 40 mph winds knocked all the trash cans on our street all over the place, and as always, there is gross, ugly garbage everywhere. I envy Stone Harbor, where Public Works sends a man out in front of the truck, where he pulls cans from side yard trash can covers, out to the curb. After emptying the can, a follow-up man returns the cans to the side yard trash can cover. It is a wonderful system, costs no more and makes the town look nicer without trash cans out on the curb for most of the week.
