That remark is exactly what you might expect from a rich pensioner living on a luxuriant island. However, as distasteful as it may be, the rest of us know that our entire fragile economy depends almost entirely on tourism. Get rid of the tourists and hospitals and big box stores will all go too. We are close enough to a welfare state as it is.
