New York state has passed a law requiring owners of automatic firearms to register them with the state. A representative of a gun rights group predicts that the owners will defy the law and refuse to register the weapons. If he's correct, the NRA will have to modify one of its favorite slogans. "Criminals don't obey laws" will have to become "Criminals and gun-loving, supposedly, law-abiding citizens don't obey laws."
