Since the New Deal and Great Society eras, there has been a general understanding in the United States that society has a responsibility to help the most vulnerable. What Republicans are plotting under Donald Trump is morally wrong. The gutting of Medicaid to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations would set America back roughly a century. Lots of things are morally wrong it is not up to me to make everything right. Cut my taxes and let me decide who deserves my help.
