Morey’s approach showed a willingness to listen, reflect, and improve. That’s what real leadership should look like. Instead of brushing off concerns, the board could have taken this opportunity to strengthen public trust. Unfortunately, no one was willing to even second his motion. County residents would be wise to listen to these meetings.
