I operate a very large landscaping business that many homeowners on barrier island use. We grow our own shrubs, arbor vitae, holly, etc. we absolutely depend on migrant labor to plant, grow, dig, and transport these plants to fulfill the needs of the wealthy owners on the islands. No local men, women, or teenagers apply to work here. Never. I am sure some of these workers are illegals. But they are honest, and work incredibly hard. I pay a good wage. I need more next year.
