Many Many Many Taxpayers wonder just how Avalon's Council and Mayor and Business Administrator can waste sooooo much money every year. It is incredible. Well, quite a few went to the 4/26/23 Avalon Budget meeting, and saw how, in spite of objections from 100% of the taxpayers who spoke, the council passed $740,000 to fix a nature refuge that is not broken, with money that it does not have. For what reason? Council allotted $500,000 for The brand new Surf Park, that is also perfect, with money it does not have. Equals Tax Increase. WHY? How much other pork is in the budgets always?
