Avalon / Lakewood - As a retired construction official in northern NJ, I paid close attention to the Herald's very interesting modular warranty article regarding Avalon. First, the builder knew the rules. They are in his application form and he has to choose a vendor. Secondly, if local officials allowed him to use a two to 10 appliance warranty, they know better. They all need to be fined and retake the state test. Third, the entire mess smells rotten. Hopefully it is fact they are all continuing to be investigated because it makes those of us who did it correctly look bad. Something is very amiss in Avalon.
