The National Restaurant Association estimates that the restaurant industry lost $270 billion since the start of the pandemic, with the loss of 2.5 million jobs. Now President Biden and his administration are allocating $28.6 billion in grants to bars and restaurants that have suffered. The grants will enable businesses to get back on their feet, and workers return to their jobs, in turn providing a kick-start to the entire economy.
