If the shooter at the Trump rally had a sling shot instead of a semi-automatic rifle, would the result be the same? If he had a bb gun, would the result be the same? If he had a bow and arrow, would the result be the same? Of course the gun was instrumental; the assault wouldn't have happened without it. Those who deny the fact are out of touch with reality. Gun violence has killed 10's of 1000's Americans over the years. The death toll, the emotional trauma inflicted on friends and family of gun victims - it's all of no consequence to gun nuts. They just don't seem to care.
