I, too, chose to raise my family in Avalon, and I'm fifth generation here. I, too, love quaint Avalon, which is one reason why I don't believe that putting a well-planned and constructed boutique hotel on 21st Street, where a hotel stood in the same spot for 50+ years, will destroy Avalon. Instead, I believe it will provide lots of other opportunities for a town that struggles, except for June 30 to Aug. 30 each year.
