I noticed that there must be some type of concerted effort to post thumbs up or down for the spouts for or against the Avalon boutique hotel proposal. I can understand that sort of zealous behavior from the mostly elderly homeowners who ardently oppose the project, but I find it kind of puzzling coming from the developers and their supporters, who are already millionaires. In the end, I suspect that money will trump public opinion, as it has, not just in Avalon, but in all shore communities for years now.
