The first time I was confronted with a plastic bag ban was several years ago in Avalon. They were concerned about plastics impact on sea life & the environment while filling in the wetlands. Being a lifelong CMC resident I frequent the town. Recently I shopped at a surf shop. My purchases were put in a plastic bag. Isn't it ironic.....
