Dune Drive in Avalon has become a major highway, with noise and traffic volume to rival the best of them. In the dead of winter it sounds louder than any road on the mainland. Speed and any applicable weight limits are not being enforced. And the parallel county road, Ocean Drive, is perpetually closed for nonsense - torn up every winter for county job security or some ridiculous taxpayer-waste "project."
