The downside to the end of summer is the end of summer. I'm so tired of people ranting about how important tourism is. Nonsense. Believe it or not there are economies not based on tourism. It would be great if tourists stopped coming here. Every summer we have to deal with the tourist infestation. Everything is better here once the tourists leave. No traffic, no crowds, the noise ends and the beaches and parking become free again. Cape May County needs to stop worshiping tourism.
Moderator's Note: It would be great if the county had better, year-round, well-paying jobs, but until that day people need to eat.
