The current generation of workers have experienced limited earnings increases. This is not due to bad luck. It is due to limited increases in productivity. Between 2011 and 2017, I recall US productivity increased between zero and 1.5% each year. This is anemic, especially when compared to the prime working years of the boomer generation. Of course, we throw out all statistics in 2020. For the workers of 2021 and beyond, remember you make your own luck
